Rich Maggard established "West Coast Equine Insurance Services" in April, 2000, after more than 20 years in the insurance industry. The agency was founded with one very simple principle;
Rich felt there was a genuine need for a true horseman and insurance professional to service the needs of the equine industry. No other agency can offer this unique blend of experiences! Rich has been actively breeding, showing, training, and judging horses since 1972. He has produced winners at the racetrack, in the halter ring, and in the working arenas. As an insurance professional, he has designed coverages, and has underwritten commercial and farm policies from the smallest hobby farm, to the large international agri-business conglomerates.
Becky, who heads up the Mortality Department, has also had a life-long love affair with horses. She is an avid endurance rider, and has bred Arabs, Morgans, and Morabs for this purpose. She is truly dedicated to providing prompt and professional service to all; from the individual horse owner, to the large scale breeders and trainers.

Hours out of the office are spent cleaning stalls, riding, training, fitting, and everything else that goes into a ranching operation.
